Baby Shower Blanket

This weekend I celebrated the upcoming arrival of my nephew with my sister-in-law's baby shower. The whole day was lovely for her and she received so many wonderful gifts from friends and family. My gift to her was of course the blanket I have been making along with a little hamper of goodies. I also threw in a crochet teddy bear I had made ages ago; I'm happy to report she was thrilled with everything!


As mentioned in my previous post I went with a simple granny square blanket, finish off with a double crochet border in the oatmeal colour. It turned out bigger than I had planned which was handy as a fellow baby shower guest had knitted a smaller blanket along with some adorable cardigans.

I've really got the bug for crocheting blankets at the moment and have another baby blanket to finish off for my best friend's second arrival in September. If you follow me on Instagram you will be able to keep updated on blanket making progress!
