These brownies are super quick and easy and a recipe that I've adapted from a few others that I've seen online.
They contain no flour/gluten and no sugar (sort of) yet still taste yummy! So here's what you'll need:
They contain no flour/gluten and no sugar (sort of) yet still taste yummy! So here's what you'll need:
220g dark choclate (sugar free if you're aiming for total sugar recipe brownies)
2 eggs
150g ground almonds
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons of runny honey
3 tablespoons of coconut oil
First of all preheat your oven to around 190 C. Break up your chocolate into cubes and melt in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of water.
In a separate bowl combine the almonds, baking powder, honey, coconut oil and eggs. Once the chocolate has melted add this to the mixture and combine until all the ingredients are fully mixed in.
Grease a square baking tin/tray (I used some coconut oil) and line with some grease proof paper. Pout in your mixture and cook for around 20-25 minutes. The mixture may still be a bit gooey but it will continue to cook after you've taken it out the oven.
Transfer to a cooling rack and cut into squares or bite size chunks. Such a simple, healthy and tasty recipe!
