Saying that I've tried to find joys in the little things and laugh at the silly/stressful things that have happened during the week. So here are my reasons to be cheerful…
1. Summer: It feels like the season is finally upon us! We've had some lovely warmer weather lately and it's been great to go out without a jacket or brolly (although I always keep one in my bag!) The better weather definitely improves my mood on a Monday morning
2. Holiday: We have three weeks until we have a weeks break in Scotland and I can't wait. This time we are going to Edinburgh for a couple of days which I am really looking forward to as I haven't been before. I've been planning out a little itinery of what we'll do, see and eat!
3. Planning more holidays: Both my husband and I said that this year we wanted to travel more and as it's my last year of being in my 20's why not have some adventures?! As mentioned above we are going to Scotland in July but we are also planning a camping trip, a potential day trip to Paris and maybe a sunny beach holiday to Spain. I love going away and planning it all just adds to the fun :)
4. Time at Home: Sometimes it's nice to do absolutely nothing but more importantly soak up the 'doing nothing' if that makes sense. This weekend I spent my evenings chilling out on the sofa, watching tv and YouTube video's and then making sure I had a proper lay-in on a Sunday morning
5. Swapping sweet treats for fruit: I somehow unconsciously have not been eating any sweets or sugary food at work after my lunch. Instead I have been having an apple, banana and a couple of banana's with me to fill the gap. It wasn't intentional at first but now I've really been enjoying just having some fruit when I feel a bit peckish instead of reaching for a cereal bar or chocolate.
Hope you're all having a lovely week so far.
Betty xXx
